Jabal Al Weibdeh is unlike any other place in Amman, and you need to have a very specific set of characteristics (or at least some of them) to be a true patron/resident of Jabal Al Weibdeh.
1. You either sport a ponytail or you’re totally bald, but in both cases, you have a really long beard.
2. Your taste in music is a very important factor. You must play a musical instrument, or have very specific taste in music; we are talking Fairuz, Majida Al Roumi, Julia Butros, Marcel Khalife, Mohamad Mounir, Vaya Younan, Mashrou3 Leila, El Morraba3, and more. These artists must hold a very special place in your heart and be on every single playlist.
3. You must enjoy the idea of alcoholic drinks (even if you don’t drink).
4. Coffee, coffee, coffee. The most important characteristic in this list. You absolutely adore coffee, and SIP and ENJOY it, not just drink it.
5. You love reading (or at least you act like you love reading) especially books on philosophy, psychology, and history.
6. You never say hi to your friends in a normal or casual way, you are always over-excited to see them and must hug them to prove it.
7. You have to smoke, and if you roll your own cigarettes, it’s a major plus!
8. You have special memories in Al Weibdeh viewpoint
9. Finally, you know every single person who lives there and all their stories.
If you related to a few of items on this list then congratulations! You truly belong in Jabal Al Weibdeh.
