Jordanian University Student Sets Himself On Fire, Now In Critical State

An engineering student at a private university in Amman, Jordan has reportedly set himself on fire after not being able to pay off his tuition to graduate.

The incident took place on Monday evening, after which he was immediately hospitalized and is now in a critical state.

Meanwhile, citizens and activists took to social media to express their anger over the university’s decision to ignore the student’s financial situation and to dismiss his pleas for assistance.
